Meridian Idaho Temple Wedding Photographer Hannah O. Hansen
Meridian is located in Ada County and is the third biggest city in Idaho next to its ginormous neighbor, Boise. The state of Idaho is booming and Meridian, ID is no anomaly (the 2020 Census had the population at 117,000.) The Meridian Temple was dedicated on November 19th of 2017 and is a mere five years old. The Meridian Temple is a building used by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It hosts an assortment of religious ceremonies for their members, one of them being a ‘sealing’ or marriage of two individuals. The LDS Temple is located off Linder Rd. in Meridian. This beautiful building took three years to build and is a gorgeous backdrop for wedding photos.
Because of the emphasis on sacredness put on the temple by its members, photos are not permitted to be taken during the ceremony and are only taken afterwards. The couple exits through a side door after the sealing and are typically met by friends and family to congratulate them in their marriage. While a select group of members are allowed into the marriage ordinance, many wait outside to congratulate the newly weds.
These two met at their local church and decided to seal the deal here at the Meridian Idaho Temple.
AND you can’t leave out some family photos. (I have a couple of photography loves and one of them is photographing families!) I LOVE to capture the laughs and giggles. I think so much of the family dynamic is shown in these moments.
This group was such a fun bridal party! It was a FREEZING morning, but everyone was cheerful and cracking jokes, like no one’s business. The Wedding colors we’re silver and purple.
