‘Seasons of our Life’ 12 x 12 inches, Oil Paint on Masonite Board

I often contemplate the journey I embarked on when I married my husband. One person older and wiser than me once said, ‘A marriage has Seasons. Ups and downs, but remember that Spring will always come again.’ I’m grateful to be with my husband through the different seasons of our lives. It’s hard to fathom growing old together. I’m grateful I can share my bed with my Love, day after day as our time here on earth continues forward, onto the eternities.

Sunflowers follow the sun through its path in the sky daily. How much better off would we be if we, like the sunflowers, learned to follow ‘The Son’ (of God-Jesus) everyday?

The reference photo for this painting was taken while I visited my family in Utah at a time when wildfires were rampant throughout the Utah Valley several summers ago.

Homage was made in honor of the Artist’s grandfather and those that have passed on.

We all want to know our loved ones have been taken up to heaven, perhaps even by that same chariot that Elijah the Prophet rode. After they have passed away, we can more easily see all the sacrifices they made throughout their life as they freely gave of their time and energy. We look back through tear-filled eyes and we realize how much of the Savior we saw reflected in them. We can’t help but imagine them as the Eternal beings they are to become and see the glow that surrounded them while in mortality.
